In a groundbreaking development, the UK government has officially granted retrofitted Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) an exemption from the 20% VAT, effective from 1 February 2024.

It’s here: our fourth-generation battery storage system, the Powervault P4. Our most powerful system for homes and commercial buildings features a larger battery and inverter than the PVCompact to provide more storage and power. 

Smart electricity storage company Powervault has announced that it has closed a scale-up investment round of £3.8 million from existing ands new investors, including Green Angel Syndicate and its Climate Change Fund. This equity investment round has triggered the conversion of £3.1 million in Loan Notes raised in 2020 under the British Business Bank’s Future Fund structure.
